The Board of Supervisors will select members to ensure appropriate representation, including staff expertise, waterfront property owners, and the boating community. The committee is expected to begin its work in the spring. It is anticipated this work may last as long as 12 months.
After completing its review and developing draft recommendations, the committee’s findings will be posted on the County’s website, and a public meeting will be held to receive comments. Any recommended changes, modifications, or deletions will be brought forward to the Board of Supervisors through the normal process, including a required public hearing. If approved by the Board, changes will then be forwarded to the State for consideration.
Once its work is complete, the temporary administrative committee will be disbanded.
